Counter Foto will regularly organize ‘Artist’s Residency Program’ and the first of such will commence from 1 July, 2016.
Through a judging process of the applications, the residency will be offered to a photographer. The residency program will allow the photographer to stay and work in Bangladesh for a month. This will be a wonderful opportunity for all the international photographers and it will give the visiting photographer to develop a story in Bangladesh or anything that he or she wants to do.

Counter Foto will design a dedicated website for the residency program. Using Counter Foto’s international network, the program will be shared globally to ensure a good number of applications. All major photo agencies -Magnum, VU, Panos, VII, Noor and etc., all major photography festivals will be notified individually about the residency program. On top of this, every major photography publication will also be included in the campaign program.

Details about the Program: Providing a great opportunity for a photographer living abroad:
The photographer will stay in Bangladesh for a month. S/he will be expected to give a weeklong workshop to the photography students of Counter Foto. For the rest of the three weeks, the photographer will be given the complete freedom to pursue his/her own project in Bangladesh. S/he will be provided a fixer from Counter Foto for his/her own work. Counter Foto will provide 4,000 square feet living space at its Uttara campus. It has a 1,050 square feet studio apartment with a 750 square feet open air studio. The place is located on a rooftop of a seven-storied building. With abundant natural light and wind, there is 3,000 square feet of garden and this beautiful residence is just 10 minutes drive from the airport. It has all the modern facilities like AC, LED TVs, advanced sound system, cinema projection, and WIFI. It also has a kitchen.
